Shipments found to contain prohibited items will be stopped, reported to KRA and relevant authorities, and the sender will be held fully liable for any penalties or legal consequences.

Export Documentation

Standard documents (commercial invoice, packing list, KRA C63 declaration) are included in your rate. Agricultural certificates (KEPHIS, COO) are charged at government cost plus a small handling fee — see breakdown when you tick below. Government fees may change with regulatory updates.

Commercial Invoice — prepared by Ship Imara from your contents declaration. Included in all shipments. Packing List — itemised list of contents, weights, and dimensions. Included in all shipments. KRA Export Declaration (Form C63) — filed electronically with Kenya Revenue Authority. Included in all shipments. Certificate of Origin (KNCCI) — recommended for commercial goods, B2B shipments, and food exports to UK/EU. Helps reduce customs delays and confirms Kenyan origin (0% import duty applies to most Kenyan goods in the UK under DCTS).
Current fee: KSh 200 ($1.55), charged at cost + KSh 100 handling. Included free for personal diaspora parcels. KEPHIS Phytosanitary Certificate — mandatory for coffee, tea, dried fruit, avocado, flowers, and all agricultural produce. Select if your parcel contains these items.
Current fee: KSh 500 certificate + KSh 0.50/kg inspection, charged at cost + KSh 200 handling. Government fee subject to change — we pass through the actual KEPHIS charge plus our handling fee. Cargo Insurance Certificate — required if declared value exceeds $2,000. Select if applicable.

I understand that misdeclaration of contents or value is a criminal offence under the East African Customs Management Act and may result in seizure, penalties, and prosecution. I agree to Ship Ship Imara's Terms & Conditions and understand that full payment is required before collection and is non-refundable once the shipment has been collected from my premises.
